The winners of the 2024 Screen Music Awards have been announced in a ceremony hosted at Forum Melbourne on Tuesday 29 October, one celebrating the varied and rich contributions of Australian composers to the screen – games, ads, short films, feature films and television.

Jed Kurzel has taken home his third win for Feature Film Score of the Year for his work on Monkey Man, directed by and starring Adelaide-based filmmaker Dev Patel.
Kurzel is an Adelaide-born, Sydney-based musician known for his work with blues rock band The Mess Hall and as a prolific screen composer whose music features the soundtracks for Alien: Covenant, Macbeth (2015), Assassin’s Creed, Slow West and The Babadook.
Best Music for Children’s Programming has been awarded to Joff Bush, Jazz D’Arcy, Daniel O’Brien and Joe Twist for Bluey: The Sign, a special in which Bluey and friends come to terms with the potential sale of her family home.
