Among this year’s cohort is the genre-defying Noongar electropop artist Boox Kid, whose bold blend of electronic textures and Indigenous sonic influences has been turning heads on Australia’s vibrant music scene.

Also spotlighted is Lizzy Welsh, a distinguished violinist and composer celebrated for her contributions to both Baroque and contemporary classical music, and Queenie, whose soulful voice and roots-inspired songwriting have made her a standout in the country and Americana category.

In the popular contemporary realm, rising pop artist REDD. secured recognition for her compelling lyricism and dynamic style.

The awards also honoured composer Paul Nicolaou for his evocative work in screen composition and improvisational composer Jacques Emery.
