It’s the final week of Australian Music Month, and we’re closing it with the next 25 highest-ranked works from the public vote. Close contenders for our 25 in 25 playlist, they drew strong support and deserve to be heard. Alongside the vote, we launched the Guide to Australian Composers to give listeners a simple way to explore almost 500 tracks which have featured on Cameron Lam’s Australian Art Music playlist. With both projects now live, this follow-on list rounds out the picture by showing what sat just outside the top tier. “Voting only shows you so much,” says Lam. “I’m so glad to shine a light on another 25 incredible pieces of music here.
