Elder Hall welcomes two of Australia’s most compelling musicians, pianist Aura Go and cellist Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve, for an intimate evening of chamber music.

‘Beauty and Power’ spans centuries and styles, from the elegance of Mozart’s lesser-known gems and the lyrical warmth of Schubert’s beloved Arpeggione Sonata, to Beethoven’s bold and playful Sonata for Horn – performed here in a rare cello transcription revealing new depths. Contemporary Australian composition is represented by ever-weaver (2022/24), a recent work by Lisa Illean. This carefully curated program invites listeners on a journey of connection, contrast and rediscovery.
