Artsite Contemporary: Christine Druitt Preston | Solo Exhibition | Ephemeral Beauty – A Second Life!
2 November @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm AEDT

Christine Druitt Preston’s practice is deeply informed by a sustained curiosity about the ways in which people choose to inhabit the world—through the spaces they construct, inherit, and ultimately relinquish. Her work is attuned to the quiet resonance of domestic interiors and gardens, environments that serve not only as physical settings but also as vessels of memory, identity, and care.
The works in ‘Ephemeral Beauty – a second life’, are not botanical studies in any conventional sense. Rather, they are elegiac gestures, offerings of remembrance and renewal, and attempts to hold stillness within a world defined by movement and change. In this way, Druitt Preston situates her practice at the threshold between memory and materiality, where fragility itself becomes a site of enduring strength.
