Australian Brandenburg Orchestra: Circa & The Art of Fugue
5 August @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Following their celebrations of the Italian and Spanish Baroque, Yaron Lifschitz’s circus troupe Circa and the ABO now join forces for JS Bach’s The Art of Fugue. Considered by many to be the composer’s last work, this compendium of contrapuntal writing will be brought to life in a thrilling display that pushes the mind and body to their limits. Given the success of Lifschitz’s recent productions of Dido and Aeneas and Orpheus and Eurydice (the latter plays at the Edinburgh Festival this month), expectations are understandably high.
