Woodend Winter Arts Festival: Handel Concertos

This program opens with the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, in essence a one-movement concerto for two oboes, and includes a concerto for harp, another for organ, and two of the great Concerti Grossi, Opus 6. All of these works achieved immediate popularity in their time and have continued to hold their place in the repertoire.
