Melbourne Symphony Orchestra: Mozart’s Great Mass
18 September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEST

As the MSO Chorus and its director Warren Trevelyan-Jones both turn 60, Nicholas Carter conducts Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor – the MSO’s first performance of this work in more than a decade. It is brought to life by four soloists – sopranos Siobhan Stagg and Samantha Clarke, tenor Matteo Desole and baritone David Greco. The program also includes Brahms’ Schicksalslied, inspired by poet Friedrich Hölderlin’s poem Hyperion’s Song of Fate, and Richard Strauss’s Träumerei am Kamin (Dreaming by the Fireside) from his autobiographical opera Intermezzo.
