Ensemble Q: Requiem
28 October @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Proudly presented by the exciting collaboration of Ensemble Q and The Australian Voices, this heartfelt performance brings internationally acclaimed composer Paul Stanhope’s Requiem to Brisbane audiences for one night only. Also featured is Joe Twist’s Lament for cello and choir.
Scored for chamber choir, two vocal soloists, harp, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn, Stanhope’s Requiem is a uniquely Australian work and a stunningly beautiful and complex addition to the choral repertoire. Stanhope expertly weaves together the old and the new in this work, expanding the traditional Requiem form with texts by poets Neela Nath Das, Mary Elizabeth Frye, Emily Dickinson and Oodgeroo Noonuccal.
