Robyn Mellor: The Bridal Kiss, a Goose’s Tale and Auto Sales
17 May @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm AEST

Polifemy (women’s vocal ensemble) and BlockSounds (recorder quartet) present a concert of humorous contemporary vocal and recorder music guaranteed to titillate the senses and re-animate the sedate.
Polifemy sings Aesopian animals to life: a goose on the loose; a love-lorn donkey; a silly sheep; a greedy fly; a wingless toad. They then turn to more serious contemporary issues such as vacuum cleaning, bothersome aunts, neighbourly relations and buying used cars.
BlockSounds meanwhile evokes an African birthday, a Jewish wedding, flying putti and a fairytale dance, producing sounds and rhythms that you may never have imagined before.
Music for the adventurous melomaniac in search of inspiration and a good laugh!
