GWB Entertainment: The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale
5 June @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm AEST

Condensing J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic fantasy novel into a three-hour musical takes some doing, but the main plot points are here as Frodo Baggins and three fellow Hobbits set out on a dangerous journey to save Middle-earth by destroying the all-powerful One Ring. Most of the performers are actor-musicians and it’s a delight to see them create the score on stage on instruments including accordion, cello, harp and violin. The strong cast includes Rarmian Newton as Frodo and Laurence Boxhall in a show-stealing performance as Gollum.
