Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour: The Phantom of the Opera

5 April @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm AEDT

On its 40th anniversary, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster musical returns to Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour. When it premiered there in 2022, it was the first fully-staged outdoor production anywhere in the world – which excited the composer enough to attend the opening. And what a dazzling night it was! Directed by Simon Phillips and designed by Gabriela Tylesova – who impressed Lloyd Webber with their production of the Phantom sequel Love Never Dies – the spectacular, inventive staging took the audience’s breath away. In audacious casting, newcomer Jake Lyle plays the Phantom, with Amy Manford as Christine Daaé (a role she has played in London’s West End) and Jarrod Draper as Raoul.
