The program opens with Anna Clyne’s This Midnight Hour, a brooding and cinematic work with swirling textures and dramatic surges. From there, we enter the world of gaming with Nobuo Uematsu’s symphonic arrangement of Final Fantasy IX Suite. Daniel Nelson’s Steampunk Blizzard injects a burst of mechanical energy and playful chaos with its driving rhythms and quirky orchestration.

The concert concludes with Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite, a dazzling reworking of his ballet score based on Russian folklore, offering a triumphant finale that bridges myth and modernity.
