Australian Brandenburg Orchestra: Baroque Unleashed

29 June @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

Promising an “adrenaline-charged ride”, this program features thrilling new takes on Baroque hits and hidden gems by the ABO’s period musicians. Concertmaster Shaun Lee-Chen delivers a fiery reading of Locatelli, Robert Nairn tackles Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto on violone, Baroque oboist Adam Masters interprets Albinoni and Artistic Director Paul Dyer bends Durante to his will on harpsichord. Pergolesi’s Violin Concerto, most likely commissioned by Neapolitan nobility in the mid-1730s, also gets a look-in.
