Queensland’s most heart-warming, vibrant, delicious events of the year is back – Brisbane’s Ukrainian Festival, on Saturday 22 August 2026 in Holland Park – with the state’s largest line up of Ukrainian food, music, culture and community spirit.

Experience an authentic spread of Ukrainian favourites including Varenyky potato and cheese dumplings, iconic beetroot soup Borshch, Holubtsi cabbage rolls, savoury Pyrizhky meat buns and Medivnyk honey cake – alongside dancing, live music, rides, market stalls and cultural activities.

Brisbane is invited to share messages of hope in a giant handcrafted ’35’ installation covered in sunflowers for those affected by the ongoing war.

The festival helps raise funds to support displaced Ukrainians rebuilding their lives in Queensland, cultural preservation programs, community activities and Ukraine-focused humanitarian initiatives – and is sponsored by the Department of Home Affairs, the Queensland Government and the Brisbane City Council.
