Mezzo-soprano Cassandra Doyle first attracted Limelight’s attention as Cherubino in The Cooperative’s 2022 staging of The Marriage of Figaro. She was a finalist in last year’s IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition and has since been accepted into the prestigious Salzburger Festspiele Young Singers Project and Opernstudio NRW. Hi friends!

After the last few months of auditioning for young artist programs in Europe, I’m thrilled to share I’ll be at the Salzburger Festspiele this summer in the Young Singers Project and a new member of Opernstudio NRW for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, in collaboration with Aalto Theater Essen, Oper Dortmund, Oper Wuppertal and Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen.

I’m super excited to be back in Australia before moving to Essen to commence rehearsals in June and will perform a final recital alongside some of my dearest friends from the Sydney Conservatorium. The program will feature classic diva / divo mezzo arias with Jamie-Lee Xu (piano) and some favourite opera ensembles with Ariana Ricci (soprano), Molly Ryan (soprano) and Wesley Yu (tenor) in the iconic Pitt Street Uniting Church.
