Coolamon Singers: Ceremony of Carols
22 November @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm AEST

The Coolamon Singers, known for their thoughtful repertoire and expressive artistry, offers a captivating Christmas season, which spotlights the music of Benjamin Britten. At the heart of the program is A Ceremony of Carols, together with A Hymn to the Virgin and The Ballad of Little Musgrave and Lady Barnard. A joyful garland of international carols and festive music gift wraps this package of seasonal gems.
The program will also include acclaimed pianist Ayesha Gough performing Shostakovich’s Prelude and Fugue No 24 in D minor, to honour the deep friendship shared by Shostakovich and Benjamin Britten.
Under the baton of Marco Bellasi, recently returned from Florence, and with acclaimed pianist Ayesha Gough, fresh from distinguished solo performances in northern New South Wales, the ensemble promises a memorable blending of tradition and contemporary flair.
Altogether a rich musical experience for Brisbane and Gold Coast audiences!
