Seymour Centre: Convergence
1 May @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Based on Gadigal land (Sydney), multi-award-winning Persian-Australian tar player and composer Hamed Sadeghi presents Convergence.
Sadeghi is part of a growing generation of artists redefining what Australian Contemporary music sounds and looks like. His work challenges the boundaries of genre and belonging, asking what it means to carry more than one musical tradition in one body and what becomes possible when neither is sacrificed for the other.
In one seamless 60-minute act, Sadeghi leads audiences through a world of contrasts from delicate exchanges with a string trio and the purity of classical opera, to the intoxicating depths of Persian classical music. Known for his ability to bridge musical traditions while maintaining a clear sonic intention, Sadeghi transforms the concert stage into a space where cultures don’t just meet, they converge.
