Midsumma Festival: Darling Divaz
23 January @ 7:10 pm - 8:10 pm AEDT

A love letter to a man named Art. Three divas. One stage. And a lifetime of love affairs with music, men and mystery.
Between them, stage sirens Tim Barsby, Heath Harney and Jules Sutherland are 150 years old. What even? From teenaged dirtbags to middle-aged divas in the blink of an eye.
In that blink, they’ve danced through romances both excellent and questionable, asked the big-ass questions, feigned normality, freaked out their families and flirted with enlightenment… All the while singing, sashaying (and occasionally faceplanting) their way through over 100 musicals.
Now, at long last, this trio of Gen X cabaret queens pool their Punky powers and thirty-year friendship into a show that’s part retrospective, part confessional, purely unpretentious and utterly bloody delightful.
Darling Divaz warmly welcome you to share the nostalgia and naughtiness as they crack open their songbooks, memories and treasure chests, letting the triumphs and disasters shimmy out together in a big, twinkly love letter to art, magic, heart and all who sail within them. From childhood awakenings to Liza-idolisation, rockstar ambitions, audition mishaps, hippie trips, religious ecstasy (and agony), cosmic crushes and sugar crashes, identity and fashion crises…
