The Parish Church of St James’ King Street: David Blunden Organist plays Bach and Mendelssohn at St James

St James welcomes back one of its former organists, David Blunden, who is giving a concert on our Bicentennial Pipe Organ by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders on Saturday 24th January at 3pm. David is briefly back in his hometown of Sydney visiting from Basel. David is a founding member of the ensemble Capricornus Consort Basel, and coaches singing class at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He leads the choir at the Anglican Church in Basel, is organist at the Heiliggeistkirche in Basel, and since 2016 at the Arlesheim Cathedral. David’s concert programme includes works by Bach, Mendelssohn and Wesley.
