For this year’s Fashion x Runway, Melbourne Fashion Week partners with Collarts to present a curated, theatrical experience where texture bridges fashion and music.

Reimagining the boundaries of a fashion show through a fusion of trailblazing design, live music and performance, experience layered sensory compositions as live performers on stage and among the audience weave soundscapes that mirror the cultural heritage and musical influences of each featured designer.

Through an interplay of garments, sound and movement, the runway explores how cultural stories are told, retold, and reshaped across time. Texture becomes more than something you see or touch, it becomes something you can hear, feel in the air, and experience within the intimate Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.
