Penrith Conservatorium of Music: Fiery Bach
16 May @ 7:00 pm - 8:20 pm AEST

Bach’s imagination has always burned brightly; igniting generations of composers and musicians to create music that is kinetic, daring, and alive with electricity. Fiery Bach takes that fire and pushes it further, reimagining the music of Bach and his contemporaries with a thrilling modern edge.
At its heart burns Arash Safaian’s ÜberBach concertos, where Bach’s cantatas, arias, and preludes ignite into cinematic soundscapes of striking intensity.
“Bach’s music is a living organism,” Safaian explains. “It’s constantly changing and reinventing itself, and I wanted to create music that breathes with that same energy.”
Turbulent, dramatic, and deeply moving, this is music that grabs you and doesn’t let go. These are not polite museum pieces but dangerous, daring, dark and delicious works that make centuries-old music feel urgently of today.
