Adelaide Symphony Orchestra: Free Community Concerts

5 February @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ACDT

Event Series (See All)

Hosted and conducted by the ever-entertaining Martin Butler, there is a lot to listen to in this one hour long free family friendly concert given by musicians of the ASO!

The nine short works in this program span centuries and styles. From the bright clarity of Telemann to the rhythmic energy of today’s composers. Each piece explores a different kind of resonance: the shimmer of light in Luminosity, the fiery spark of Balmages’ The Fire Within, the buoyant lift of Meyer’s Helium, and the folk echoes woven into the traditional Scandinavian tunes Brudestykke and 30 Year Jig.

Join us for a delightful day out with friends and family as performers and listeners come together in a shared experience of connection, creativity, and the joy of live music, right in the comfort of your own community.
