Perth Symphonic Chorus: Handel’s Messiah
21 December 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm AEDT

A Christmas ritual in Perth, Messiah always delights audiences with spectacular singing and orchestral splendour.
Handel’s musical setting of the life of Jesus Christ is part narrative, part meditation. The chorus and vocal soloists lead us on a journey in three parts; prophecy and promise, praise and passion, eternity and exultation.
Soloists Emma Matthews AM, Ruth Burke, Matthew Reardon and Andrew O’Connor join with Perth Symphonic Chorus and Perth Baroque Orchestra to perform well-loved pieces like ‘Rejoice Greatly’, ‘The Trumpet Shall Sound’, the ‘Amen Chorus’ and the timeless ‘Hallelujah Chorus’.
While the Perth Concert Hall redevelopment takes place, we are delighted to be performing Handel’s Messiah in Perth’s home of theatre, music and arts, the 120-year-old His Majesty’s Theatre.
