Pummel Squad: How the King Learned to Live Forever
19 December 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEDT

Fresh off multiple Green Room Award wins for Spring has Sprung or The Beautiful Show and Twenty Million Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, theatre renegades Pummel Squad are coming to fortyfivedownstairs with their third annual pantomime: a raucous celebration of death, hubris, and all we love about theatre.
In a time long ago and land far away, a brave knight is summoned to bring life back to the dying king. Is he dead? Maybe. Are his three evil advisors propping him up and carrying him around so that they may live the good life of creamed corn and gravy? It’s possible. The one thing that is certain is that the fate of the kingdom rests in the hands of the brave knight, their squire, their crazy friend Death and the enchanting princess.
Join Pummel Squad and a ragtag bunch of beloved Melbourne actors as they turn our beloved venue into the King’s banquet hall, for a night of mayhem and revelry that’ll send the year packing with a laugh.
