St George’s Cathedral: I Was Glad – A Celebration Of Wedding Music
12 November @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm AWST

The 2026 season concludes with a magnificent evening of ceremonial anthems heard at Royal Weddings for generations. The program includes Parry’s I Was Glad and Blest Pair of Sirens, featured at the wedding of The Prince and Princess of Wales in 2011.
Under the direction of Dr Joseph Nolan, formerly of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal, UK, this concert brings together the stunning voices and instruments of The Cathedral Consort and Brass with organist, Stewart Smith. Celebrated West Australian soprano, Sara Macliver, will make a special guest appearance singing solo arias including Handel’s Let the Bright Seraphim.
This final concert of the season honours a tradition which has nurtured and promoted some of the world’s greatest classical music loved by billions of people worldwide.
