Crossing Strings: Intersections
19 January @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEDT
Crossing Strings’ debut album Intersections propels the crossover guitar duo directly to the forefront of the European fingerpicking scene.
Crossing Strings is an Austrian based guitar duo that, at first glance, couldn’t be more different, a duo in which two seemingly entirely different worlds collide. Comprising Carina Maria Linder, who dedicated herself to classical guitar at the tender age of 8 and achieved remarkable success in various international guitar competitions within classical guitar duos, and Markus Schlesinger, the internationally touring fingerstyle guitarist and founder of the Vienna Fingerstyle Festival. Markus complements this duo with his sophisticated original compositions and groovy arrangements of well-known songs.
The program of these two professionals in their respective fields is a diverse mix of original compositions, self-arranged classical, jazzy, and pop evergreens, featuring two voices that enhance it with both impulsive intensity and playful lightness.
