On December 16th, 1775, a literary genius was born. Jane Austen wrote six perfect novels about love and human nature set in Georgian England during her relatively short life which have delighted generations of readers and been adapted countless times for the screen. Join acclaimed Adelaide harpist, soprano (and Janeite) Emma Horwood in a celebration of the 250th anniversary of Austen’s birth, in the intimate surrounds of elegant Northgate House.
Featuring readings from the books and beautiful music from the time and from the screen adaptations, this is a must for Austen lovers and lovers of fine music. With period Christmas carols, a visit from mini Mr Darcy, and other surprises, join Emma on this auspicious day to celebrate all things Austen! Limited seating, costume dress welcome!
