TEG Live: José Carreras and Plácido Domingo
10 March @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEDT
It’s been 34 years since The Three Tenors first stormed the charts. With Pavarotti gone, the two survivors intend to defy the advancing years by reuniting for an Australian arena tour. José Carreras, now 77 and Plácido Domingo, now 83 and still performing standard repertoire in Europe and Russia as a baritone, will perform operatic arias, duets and ensembles alongside showtunes and Neapolitan songs, accompanied by a 55-piece orchestra under the baton of David Giménez. The concerts also promise “a high-profile Australian soprano” to sweeten the pot.
