Joshua Han and Bernice Chua: Joshua Han / Bernice Chua: Beethoven and Beyond

Australian pianists Joshua Han and Bernice Chua join forces in Canberra’s Wesley Music Centre for a recital of two Beethoven sonatas and beyond.
23-year-old Australian pianist Joshua Han has been praised for “complete mastery of his instrument as well as complete empathy with the music” (Sydney Arts Guide). Joshua is the winner of the 2025 International Piano Competition J. S. Bach in Saarbrücken, Germany, and 2024 Australian National Piano Award, and has appeared with distinguished orchestras including the Queensland Symphony, Sendai Philharmonic (Japan) and Suwon Philharmonic (South Korea).
23-year-old Australian pianist Bernice Chua is a recipient of the Ian Potter Emerging Artist Grant (2024), the Australian Music Foundation’s Nora Goodridge Young Artist Award (2024), and the AMF Trustee’s Award (2025). She is also a prize-winner in numerous national and international competitions. She is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Solo Piano Performance under Jacques Rouvier at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
