Manly Writers’ Festival: Manly Writers’ Festival 2026
21 March @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEDT

Featuring leading, local, and emerging authors across fiction, non-fiction, politics, history, memoir, and poetry, the Festival offers a wide range of sessions designed to inform, challenge, and entertain. There is also a dedicated Schools Program.
Program highlights include the inaugural Thomas Keneally Oration, Beyond the Hot Flush: Rewriting Midlife with Michelle Bridges, the Manly Poetry Salon and an evening creative event, The Night Shift with Heather Morris, Candida Baker and Deborah Conway (amongst others), exploring human creativity vs AI.
Over the weekend, almost 90 writers, journalists, historians, storytellers, and musicians will explore how stories are created, how people endure, how power operates, and how individuals reimagine the world around them.
Ticket prices vary by session. Full program and bookings are available online.
