Melbourne International Jazz Festival: Masters & Apprentices
17 October @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEDT

Danilo Pérez has led the way as one of the most influential pianists and composers in contemporary jazz. His deeply expressive improvisation and virtuosic piano technique combined with his unique blend of Latin American, African and European influences, has been admired by his contemporaries and audiences for nearly four decades.
Following a series of intensive rehearsals, students from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne will showcase the talent of Melbourne’s next generation of jazz, performing alongside Pérez, in an inspiring celebration of musical collaboration.
MIJF is proud to partner with Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne as an Education Partner — working together to foster the next generation of Australian jazz.
