Nine of Sydney top musicians are “Nadya’s SoulSka in Stilettos”

On Saturday 21st of Febuary they are set to bring the audience on a very fun ride of wonderful songs reimagined with a Soul / Ska feel, touching on South Pacific Islands.

Inspired by Jamaica’s Trojan Records, sweet soul hits re-grooved into reggae.

Sam Cooke, Etta James, Ketty Lester, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Dolly Parton, Rod Stewart, Burning Spear, Leonard Cohen, Britney Spears, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen and more faves, beautifully sung and played, along with some South Pacific songs.

Front and centre in this high-heeled hurricane of horns and harmony is the Nadya Golski, Australia’s Queen of Gypsy Soul—a vocal powerhouse with a voice that could, as John Shand of The Age/SMH stated, “light up a room.”

She’s bold, fiery, funny and full of surprises—sometimes singing in French, Spanish, or Tok Pisin, just because she can.
