Sydney Comedy Festival: NICK ABRAHAMS – THE ACCIDENTAL LAWYER
16 May @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Years ago, Nick Abrahams was a successful comedian in Tokyo starring in his own television show and hailed as the Seinfeld of Japan. He then landed a job at Warner Bros in Hollywood working with George Clooney on ER and Aaron Sorkin on The West Wing. He produced and appeared in a film with Woody Allen and then he became a lawyer.
When anyone hears this, their first reaction is, ‘Why so much name-dropping and then they ask, What went wrong? A lot of people escape being a lawyer to do something more interesting. Nick escaped doing something more interesting to spend 16 hours a day arguing over commas. This is a show about how Nick did a career change in reverse and then tried to escape.
And in a twist no one saw coming, he became a senior partner in a global law firm for 25 years.
