Willoughby Symphony: Odyssey

22 June @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEST

Bedřich Smetana’s The Moldau is one of the most spellbinding depictions of nature in classical music, capturing the magic of a gentle stream in the mountains that becomes a surging river, carrying the listener through the Czech countryside. Dr Nicholas Milton AM and the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra take you on this incredible journey, before two of Australia’s most distinguished soloists, violinist Ji Won Kim and violist Caleb Wright, join the orchestra for Mozart’s sparkling Sinfonia concertante. This unmissable concert concludes with Dvořák’s rapturous Eighth Symphony, a majestic celebration of the natural world that draws on the Czech folk music of the composer’s homeland.
