Opera Australia: Opera Australia at St James’ Church

22 May @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Experience one of the greatest choral works ever written in a concert performance at Sydney’s historic St James’ Church.
Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem is a transformative, meditative musical experience. Completed in 1947 and drawing on the traditional Gregorian Mass for the Dead, Duruflé’s Requiem will make your heart soar. From the ethereal ‘Pie Jesu’ to the transcendent ‘In Paradisum’, every moment is crafted to uplift the soul.

The world-renowned Opera Australia Chorus will be conducted by esteemed Chorus Master Paul Fitzsimon. They’ll be joined by Chad Kelly, playing the Church’s Bicentennial Pipe Organ, an incredible instrument commissioned for the Church’s 200th birthday in 2024.

Let the stunning harmonies envelop you in the intimate surrounds of St James’ Church.
