: Opera Unmasked – Arias and Anecdotes
7 June @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm AEST

Opera Unmasked is designed to demystify the art form and open it up to new audiences. Enjoy comedic anecdotes about the composers and the plots, together with some of opera’s best loved arias, as we unmask the stories behind the songs.
With a mixture of storytelling and singing, this event promises to be both entertaining and enlightening for both seasoned opera lovers and people curious to explore it for the first time.
The show is also a celebration of Melbourne’s up-and-coming opera performers who are all graduates of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
For most of the show the cast are dressed in tee-shirts and jeans to make the performance a more relaxed experience. There is a costume change into traditional ball gowns and dinner jackets for the finale.
