Bowral Autumn Music Festival: Orava Quartet – Swoop

Join us to celebrate autumn in the beautiful Southern highlands as we welcome the sensational Orava Quartet to open this year’s Bowral Autumn Music Festival at the beautifully historic St. Jude’s Church. Come early for the special Pre-concert Discussion (6:30pm-7:00pm – included with purchase of Concert #1 ticket) with the BAMF Artistic Director, Vatche Jambazian & Gerard Willems.
An Organ Prelude performed at 7:15pm by James Flores will be Denis Bèdard’s ‘Variations sur Christus Vincit‘ before Orava take to the stage for Erwin Schulhoff’s String Quartet No.1, Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet No. 76, No.2 (Fifths), and then Australian composer Holly Harrison’s amazing work Swoop.
Interval offers the opportunity to enjoy complimentary refreshments before the second half begins with Alexander Borodin’s String quartet No.2 in D major, and to conclude, the incredible Orawa by Wjciech Kilar.
