Live At Yours: Pictures at an Exhibition
8 November 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEDT
Australia’s highest profile international pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk will spark pianistic fireworks with a dizzying program that includes Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. He will enchant you with the intimate Brahms Intermezzi op.117 and the fiendishly virtuosic Liszt-Horowitz ‘Danse Macabre’. This breathtaking programme with one of Australia’s great pianists will be a night to remember.
A renowned pianist of dazzling musicality, Gavrylyuk has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw.
Sydneysiders will know him best for his acclaimed live recording of the complete Prokofiev Concertos with Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House in 2009.
Experience Alexander’s artistry like never before under the starry vaults of Sydney’s Great Synagogue.
