Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra: Ravel, Mahler and Beethoven
25 March @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEDT

From its whip-crack opening, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G is famously fun for the audience and notoriously difficult to play. Our musicians are up for the challenge, led by Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Eivind Aadland and joined by brilliant pianist, Cédric Tiberghien.
The program features two works by Mahler: Blumine, originally included in the first performances of Symphony No 1, and the divine Adagietto from his fifth symphony. To conclude, Beethoven’s cheerful and inventive Symphony No 2 reminds us of the composer’s depth and energy.
