Castiglione Arts & Culture: Ray Chen in Recital
14 September @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Violinist Ray Chen’s latest album Player 1 pairs Korngold’s Violin Concerto with music from Squid Game to Pokémon. For this tour, however, he and long-time collaborator pianist Julio Elizalde serve up a more traditional program, including works by JS Bach, Bazzini, Beethoven, Chick Corea, Dvořák and Saint-Saëns. Chen tells Limelight that curating a recital is like crafting a full-course meal – served up on his 1714 ‘Dolphin’ Stradivarius, once owned by Jascha Heifetz. (Read our interview on page 44.)
