Australian National Academy of Music: Richard Tognetti – Mahler’s Heavenly Life
27 June @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm AEST

Throughout 2026, ANAM musicians explore some of the most monumental works in the orchestral repertoire, including Mahler’s Fourth Symphony – one of the orchestral canon’s most radiant achievements.
Often interpreted as a journey from life to death, its final movement offers a childlike vision of Das himmlische Leben (“The Heavenly Life”). Mahler’s luminous score will be paired with Haydn’s expressive Symphony No. 52.
This concert invites audiences to experience Richard Tognetti (Artistic Director, Australian Chamber Orchestra) leading ANAM musicians in two masterworks that reflect on endings, renewal and the enduring vitality of orchestral music — live at St Kilda Town Hall.
Special Offer! A 5% discount applies when purchasing tickets to 2 ANAM Orchestra concerts at St Kilda Town Hall, and a 10% discount applies when purchasing tickets to all 3 St Kilda Town Hall concerts.
