Meredith Steele is a North American cellist living in Melbourne. She has performed in concert halls across Europe, the USA, and Asia. Most recently, she represented the University of Melbourne in the Tianjin Juilliard Orchestral Symposium in Beijing. The recipient of multiple awards, Meredith was selected as the 2024 Otti Veit Violoncello recipient at the University of Melbourne for performance excellency. She is a current PhD performance candidate, with her research exploring the historical performance practice of the solo cello in Richard Strauss’s tone poem Don Quixote.
