Melodies of the Silk and Soul invites audiences into a luminous meeting of East and West, where the saxophone becomes a bridge across cultures. Led by saxophonist Qi (Iris) Li, the program reimagines classical traditions through the lens of Chinese heritage.

With the shimmering tones of Molia Yuan’s guzheng, the lyrical voice of Enle (Ryan) Li’s alto saxophone, and the artistry of Nicholas Young at the piano, the evening unfolds in vivid musical colors.

Highlights include Awakening (惊梦), Moonlight over the Ancient Road (月光下的古道), The Beauty of Hui (徽风皖韵), Chu Song (楚颂), and selections from The Silk Road Fantasie Suite (丝绸之路幻想曲).
