In this recital Neal Peres da Costa (pianoforte) and Anna Fraser (soprano) explore how Franz Schubert’s famous song cycle Schwanengesang might have sounded in the hands of Schubert himself and singers he knew and loved. This interpretation is based on compelling practice-led research including early recordings of 19^th century-trained musicians and written information from Schubert’s time, perspective pushing the boundaries of musical artistic practice.
