Ausfeng Group: Shanghai Chinese Orchestra
24 September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm ACST

The Shanghai Chinese Orchestra brings a vibrant celebration of Chinese musical heritage to Australia for the first time. Under the charismatic baton of Maestro Tang Muhai, the program presents a rich tapestry of ancient melodies, Shanghai-style folk music, and modern masterpieces in an evocative East-meets-West context.
Audiences will be transported by music that is elegant, majestic, and timeless — bridging cultures and eras. Highlights include Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon by Tan Dun and Silk Road by Jiang Ying.
This acclaimed production, New Oriental Chinese Music Scene, has captivated audiences at prestigious venues worldwide, including Philharmonie de Paris, Berliner Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie, Kennedy Center, Barbican Centre, and St. Petersburg State Capella.
