In 2022, River City Voices broke the choral Christmas mould by uniting Handel’s Messiah with slam poetry and on December 6, Slam Messiah is back!

Presented as a chamber version perfect for new audiences, this bold reimagining fuses the raw honesty of young, western Sydney poets with Handel’s thrilling arias, choruses and sentiments, all of which speak directly to the issues at the heart of 2025.
