RISING Festival: Snoh Aalegra

5 June @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm AEST

She was mentored by Prince in his final years. She’s ridden zig-zagging beats with the Neptunes and Tyler the Creator. She’s been likened to Sade and sampled by Drake. But, despite the all-star cast, Iranian Swedish-born singer and songwriter Snoh Aalegra always reaches for something singular.

She can ad-lib without overplaying it, and straddle soul, R&B and rap, with a low-key, psychedelic flare. Her voice finds the smouldering spot between sensual and wounded, hopeful and defeated, wary and elated. And, whether she’s glancing back at a situationship or riding high in the violet skies of love, she manages an intimate nonchalance that sits you right there next to her, on full-grain leather.

After conquering Radio City Music Hall and selling out tours across North America and Europe, Snoh is coming to RISING. Prepare yourself for those feels and temporary highs.
