Simon Bower: Sometimes Give Up
10 September @ 8:15 pm - 9:15 pm AEST

NEVER give up? Not even if it’s hard? After quitting comedy for over five years, proud quitter Simon Bower returns to debunk this propaganda of persistence in cheeky, self-deprecating style.
Simon Bower has delighted audiences in sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Canberra Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival, and his writing for popular comedy websites such as Hard Drive and Cracked has been viewed by millions. Now, in his solo festival debut, Simon pokes fun at the hypocrisy of the hyper persistent: taking aim at steadfast stalwarts like Winston Churchill and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and pointing out how they were big ol’ quitters too, whilst weaving in personal stories and observational comedy that he delivers with disarming honesty and a sly grin. Sometimes Give Up is a hilarious, earnest and maybe even inspiring hour of stand-up about how losers never quit, and quitters never lose.
