Queensland Symphony Orchestra: Northern Lights & Southern Stars
30 October 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

QSO under the baton of conductor Sam Weller, along with the smooth baritone of The Voice finalist and Opera star Jake Lyle, invites you to experience the power and beauty of a full symphony orchestra as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra returns to Mackay for the first time in over a decade – with all 55 musicians live on stage.
Step into the magnificent MECC Auditorium for a spellbinding night of music, where breathtaking melodies and rich harmonies will sweep you away.
The program features captivating works including the electrifying In the Hall of the Mountain King from Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No.1, the haunting elegance of Maurice Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess, and My Australia by Chloé Charody – a vibrant musical tribute to the landscapes and spirit of our country.
Gather your friends, book a platter, and be part of this unforgettable celebration of live orchestral music.
